How It Works

With a Psychology Medicare referral from you GP, you will get back a medicare rebate of $137.05 for each appointment attended (for Standard and Discounted fee clients). You pay the appointment cost at the start of the appointment, and then you get your rebate ($137.05) back from Medicare in approximately 1-3 business days, which goes back into your bank account.

Payment is made by credit/debit card, and incurs a 1.9% + $1 charge to process.

Private Pay without a referral: same rate as above but there is no medicare rebate
